Our waxed/oilskin cap is treated with 100% natural beeswax and oil. It is formulated in a way the waxed cap would break in over time by transitioning from stiff, and rigid to soft, flexible, and uniquely patinated texture. 

The wax wears off in high-friction areas, creating a vintage, custom-fit appearance. 

This reveals a lighter, faded cotton underneath that tells the story of your adventures.

Proper care is required to ensure it ages beautifully without losing its weatherproofing. Once the fabric loses its water-repelling shine or begins to soak through in the rain, the cap needs to be rewaxed. 

Never wash a waxed cap in a washing machine or take it to a standard dry cleaner. This strips the wax entirely. Clean off dirt with a cold, damp sponge and brush. 

To reset the cracked whitish (leather-like) patina, simply use a hairdryer on medium heat to melt the wax until it's glossy and let it dry. It'll look brand new again. To cheat and develop your own patina quick, just scrunch your cap. Have fun.
